anybody know of a place in portland (preferably in southeast, but other places will be considered if the review is good enough!) that serves a good cheese plate?
A few years ago Paley's Place had an excellent cheese plate - dessert menu. Haven't been recently, so I can't say if the quality is the same. And it's NW rather than SE. If you try it, do share!

Savoy has a early and late night happy hour with a $5 cheese and meat board. I can't recall the name but it references Wisconsin and is pretty tasty in a very simple way. Their smoked trout board is great too.
